Portstewart Golf Club, Ulster, Ireland - Official Host Venue for The Dubai Duty Free Irish Open, Hosted by the Rory Foundation
SeeMore Putters will attend the practice days on 3 - 5 July and have the range of putters available for Professionals to try out and view the putter that won The Open in 2015.
Portstewart Golf Club was founded in 1894 and long considered one of the country’s finest links courses, Portstewart will be staging a European Tour event for the first time when tournament host Rory McIlroy defends his title there next summer.
Set on Ulster’s stunning Causeway Coast, Portstewart features three 18-hole layouts, with the Des Giffin-designed Strand Course – which will host the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open – considered the jewel in the crown.
Built in 1986 on natural links land known as ‘Thistly Hollow’, the Strand Course has hosted many major Amateur and Professional Championships over the years including most recently The Amateur Championship in 2014, won by Bradley Neil of Scotland. The British Girls Championship was also hosted in 2006, won by Belen Mozo of Spain, and the Irish Amateur in 1992, won by Gary Murphy of Killkenny.
