Hartley Wintney Golf Club

Pleased to welcome Martin Smith Professional at Hartley Wintney Golf Club as a new SPI outlet for custom fitting of SeeMore Putters.

Hartley Wintney is a friendly, members club, situated in the beautiful North East Hampshire countryside, on the edge of the rural town of Hartley Wintney. The club has been providing enjoyable golf for over 125 years and is the ideal location for a relaxing game of golf in tranquil surroundings with many mature trees and water hazards. The course is easily reached from the M3 and M4 and is close to the borders of Berkshire, Surrey and Hampshire.

Certified Instructor

Congratulations to Simon Hanson at Kemney Golf Club who has completed his SeeMore Putter Institute Certification and is a certified fitter and instructor in the SeeMore Method.  Having a fitting with Simon to ensure you have the right length, loft and lie on your putter, but then also receive instruction on how to use the putter to achieve a consistent set up, posture and stroke could be just what you are looking for to bring the handicap down and reduce the number of putts per round.

A putting lesson is an investment of time that will pay off and you probably wouldn't think twice about a driver or iron lesson if there was a problem, so why not do the same with the club that accounts for up to 40% of your game.

Demo Day Wrag Barn

We will be hosting a SeeMore Putter Demo Day at Wrag Barn Golf Club on Sunday 7th October 2018.  Working with Professional Ian Ridsdale and the team we will have the range of SeeMore Putters and Rosemark Grips available to try and have a custom fitting.  Starting at 9.30 am through to 1pm.

Putting is said to be 40% of your game, so having the right set up, right grip, right length and a simple method to ensure consistency everytime and you should see your handicap going the right way.

Book an appointment with the Proshop and we look forward to getting you on the road to a great putting experience.

New SPI

Welcome on board SPI Centre, Hole in One Fitting Centre - Dave Eddy.  Doing custom fitting for the SeeMore Range including left handed putters Dave is based at Golf Cluib Sagmuhle in Bad Griesbach, Germany.  Dave is Seemore Putter Institute (SPI) Certified to custom fit using the SeeMore Method.

All Putter Models Have SeeMore's Patented RifleScope Technology (RST) Alignment System, For A True Reference Point For Perfect Alignment And Set Up On Every Putt.

RST TECHNOLOGY

The patented RST, known by a visible gun sight on the top line, allows the golfer to set up the putter perfectly each and every time in relation to the intended target line.

Simply line up the black bottom portion of the shaft between two white lines and hide the signature red dot on the heel of the top line.

The two parallel white sight lines frame the shaft and serve as an indicator that the golfer is in perfect position to make a consistent and reliable stroke.

It's that simple. Hide the red dot

Calum Hill

Calum got in touch with the head office in USA and as the local UK/Europe distributor for SeeMore the enquiry was forwarded to us.  Calum was sent a custom built putter that day and was great to get the following email note from him.

"I just wanted to reach out and thank you humongously for getting me the seemore putter so swiftly!!!

While I have used a different PTM1 version in the past as a training aid (didn’t put it in the bad because I would pull it), this older FGP version with the custom specs was unbelievable!

I practiced with it and it was going exactly where I wanted it to and my pace control was superb (far better than ever). I have no idea why that is but it just worked out.

I ended up putting it in the bag this week in Northern Ireland and putted brilliantly!

Without it I wouldn’t have came close to the victory this week! All down to you guys!!

Thank you again,

Calum Hill "

Fully qualified as a PGA Professional for nearly 20 years Paul has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in all aspects of the game and is proud to have developed four junior golfers through to becoming golf professionals themselves.

The name "MacRae" has been associated with Newark Golf Club from the very beginning, something the Club has recognised by naming the Restaurant, Bar and Function facilities after one of Newark Golf Club's founders, the first ever Club Captain and Club President for over 15 years, Mr Stuart MacRae.

Stuart MacRae is credited with having introduced golf to the town of Newark in about 1890 and was the driving force behind the Club's move from a six hole course on Sconce Hills, near Farndon Road, to a new 9 hole layout at Hawton Road in 1896.

Born on the 7 December 1855 Stuart MacRae was a gentleman of many talents which he put to good use before his death, aged 71, on 27 January 1927. Stuart was not only a golf enthusiast but a very accomplished all round sportsman, playing Cricket for the MCC as well as playing Tennis, Squash ( he had a court of his own at his home Handley House in Northgate), Billiards, Shooting and even Ice Hockey. Although born a Scot, he most notably earned five caps playing football for England in 1883 and 1884 against Scotland, Ireland and Wales. Unfortunately, his football career was was effectively brought to an end when he broke his leg playing at Half Back for Newark Town in a match against Grantham Rovers, a position he also played for Notts County.

Stuart MacRae was also an excellent musician, excelling at the violin, and was frequently seen with the orchestra on Newark concert platforms. Made a JP in 1915, MacRae sat regularly at the Newark County Police Court in Appleton Gate and was a member of the Royal Company of Archers, Kings Bodyguard of Scotland.

Staysure Senior Tour

The Shipco Masters promoted by Simon's Golf Club was the Staysure Seniors European Tour event held at the beginning of June in Denmark.  Great to see a 2nd place win for Barry Lane who used for the first time the SeeMore FGPw with a Rosemark 1.25 pink and white grip.  His specification was 69 degree lie angle and the standard 2.5 degree loft and 34" length.

In 7th place was Paul Wesselingh who is also the SeeMore SPI centre in Switzerland, so using his knowledge and expertise with custom fitting the SeeMore method, he was able to ensure Barry's and his own SeeMore putter were perfect for the job in hand.

At the event Paul took the opportinity to also custom fit Andrew Oldcorn who has an mFGP2w on route to him, so we hope to see that in play at the next event and winning ways to continue for our SeeMore ambassadors.

Bought M1t

Customer emailed us to ask advise about getting a SeeMore Putter fitting.  Was prepared to travel over 2 hours to get to us as wanted to see the range of putters on offer before making a decision.  He thought he knew roughly what he wanted but was prepared to try the models before deciding.

Fitting was undertaken to determine correct length and he then took up his posture, which was pretty good, with eyes over the back of the putter and putter head in the middle of the stance.  So it came down to him trying out the different head styles and materials.  With a different feel available because of head materials Frank took his time to find the one he was most comfortable with.

Fitting completed and decision made, Frank was pleased to have the Giant M1t putter built and shipped to him within 48 hours.  It wasn't a putter that had been on his radar originally, but the fitting gave him the full options to choose from.  Lovely feedback received.

"It has just arrived and looks beautiful.  Shame I can't use it on grass until the snow clears. A big thank you to you and Melvyn for your splendid service."

Wellingborough Golf Club

Welcome on board to Wellingborough Golf Club and Professional David Clifford.

Wellingborough Golf Club, a private members Club situated at Harrowden Hall in the Heart of the Northamptonshire countryside, offers a magnificent golf course set in 160 acres of fine rolling parkland.

We have a long tradition of welcoming visitors to play our par 72, 6721 yard course, and regularly host Regional, County and Open competitions.

We offer facilities for hosting conferences, seminars and a variety of functions, including weddings and anniversary parties, in our spacious Hall and superbly maintained grounds.

Access to Wellingborough is easy and convenient via A14, M1 and A1 motorways.

At Harrowden Hall

Work on the present course began in 1972, and it was opened in 1975. When the Hall was purchased for use as a Clubhouse, the original layout was changed so that the first tee and the eighteenth green could be seen from the clubhouse.

Two par three holes and two par fives were replaced by testing par fours. In 1999, all the greens, bunkers and surrounds were re-laid and new drainage put in at a cost of £500,000.

The result is that the Club now has the facilities to host year-round golf on greens that meet USGA standards.

Early Days

The Club was formed in 1893 by seven gentlemen who invited others who might be interested to meet at 8pm on Friday November 3rd in the Welllingborough Drill Hall. Twenty-nine men were present and enthusiastic, so Old Tom Morris was engaged to lay out the first course on three fields belonging to Nest Farm (what is now the Finedon Road industrial estate).

The first clubhouse of any substance was a railway carriage. In 1923, a new nine hole course was constructed by Tom Williamson of Notts Golf Club, at the Bushfield, 'Waterworks' site (the present Gleneagles Drive area of Wellingborough).

The Club flourished there until 1975 when it moved to its present home at Harrowden Hall.

Sutton Coldfield Golf Club

Delivered the SeeMore Putter SPI Pack to Sutton Coldfield Golf Club at 12 noon on 23 February 2018 and by 3pm first order was placed for a custom fit and build putter.  With the putter being about 40% of your game having a fitting and then a club built to suit your needs you should see the handicap impact in the right direction.

In common with many clubs founded in England in the late Victorian period, Sutton Coldfield Golf Club boasted a clergyman of the Established Church, the Reverend Canon WCR Bedford, as one of its founders and a drawing of him hangs prominently in the main room of the Club to this day. The Club was founded in 1889 and at first played as a nine hole course laid out at the Town Gate of Sutton Park. The Park comprising 2,400 acres, was originally part of the Great Chase of Cannock, but by the sixteenth century the encroachment of farmland had seperated it from the Chase. This seperation allowed it to be gifted to the citizens of the Town by Henry VIII through the agency of a local notable, Bishop Vesey, who was one of Henry’s Lord Chancellors. The proximity of the Town Gate site to a centre of population meant that it was never likely to suffice for long, although it must be noted that a game was played on as near the original course as possible as part of the Centenary celebrations in 1989. In 1890 the Club moved to its current site near the Streetly Gate of the Park. 18 holes were laid out by 1893 and a Clubhouse was built a few years later on a freehold site outside the boundaries of the Park opposite the first tee.

A crucial time for this Club, as for most other Clubs, was when the full impact of the First World War was experienced. The carnage of that War, carrying away so many young men, meant that the critical point of survival was approached very closely in, and after, those years. Between 1913 and 1918, the number of male club members fell from 255 to about 125 and it was in that context that the Committee of the day demonstrated a degree of courage, surely envied by its successors, in approaching Dr. MacKenzie of Leeds to revise the course to enhance its popularity. Dr MacKenzie has subsequently become one of the most celebrated Golf Architects in the world, but at the end of the War he was only beginning to emerge in the profession. MacKenzie first visited the Club in 1919 and, showing no few qualities as a salesman at least, observed "The land on which the present course is situated is almost the best heathland I know for golf ... if the suggested alterations are done ... there is no reason why it should not compare favourably with the best inland course in Britain, and be vastly superior to many seaside ones".

MacKenzie’s plans were adopted after several modifications but the project did not proceed quickly due largely to a serious grass fire in 1921. The fire burnt deeply into the peat in places and this contributed to a crippling financial debt only being avoided through the generous efforts of the members. Incidentally the total refurbishment of a bunker in 2015 uncovered a layer of ash that had lain undisturbed since that fire 94 years before. MacKenzie’s revised course opened finally in September 1934 and while many tees have been extended and supplemented by others and some bunkers have been changed, much of MacKenzie’s work has survived.

The Club has hosted many prestigious events during its existence. However the Centenary in 1989 gave the Club the opportunity to celebrate its existence, and celebrate it did, in style! Among the many events held was a Pro-Am that attracted Vijay Singh, Sam Torrance, Laura Davies, Manuel Pinero, Jose Rivero, Jose-Maria Canizares and many others.

Away from all the ‘sound and fury’ it is the fair, but frequently stern test that the course presents in idyllic surroundings that continues to attract real golfers to become members of the Club. The roman road, Icknield Street crosses the course on its way to join Watling Street at what is now called the village of Wall. The past and the present envelop this course both on a bright spring morning and on a drowsy summer’s evening.

SeeMore FACTS

SEEMORE PUTTER COMPANY FACTS

SeeMore was used by the winner of the 2016 Travelers Championship Russell Knox (using the new SeeMore Stealth mini Giant FGP putter), who also finished 7th in the FedEx Cup standings and top 20 in the world. Two other players, Zach Johnson, and Ernie Els (using the Nashville Studio Series mFGP DF putter), finished the 2016 season ranked in the top 25 on tour in strokes gained putting, the most comprehensive statistic for measuring total putting performance vs. the field. In fact Els finished with a .77 strokes gained putting per round in the 34 measured rounds he used a SeeMore after his mid season switch, the second best average on the entire tour.

SeeMore was the winning putter of the 2015 OPEN Championship at St. Andrews (Zach Johnson), in one of the greatest clutch putting performances in OPEN History. SeeMore putters have won 3 MAJOR Championships, including the 2007 Masters (Zach Johnson) and the 1999 US Open (Payne Stewart).

SeeMore Putters offer golfers the #1 alignment putting system in golf. SeeMore’s patented RifleScope Technology (RST), known by a visible gun sight on the top line, allows the golfer to set up the putter perfectly each and every time in relation to the intended target line.

This is accomplished by lining up the black bottom portion of the shaft between two white lines and covering a signature red dot on the heel of the top line. The process is like locking radar onto a target. The two parallel white sight lines frame the shaft and serve as an indicator that the golfer is in perfect position to make a consistent and reliable stroke.

The SeeMore Putter Company is one of the premier independent putter brands in the world. SeeMore putters receive rave reviews from consumers, the media, and the best players in the world for their technology, innovation, craftsmanship, and overall performance. Players use SeeMore putters on all of the world’s key professional tours, as well as at college, amateur, and club level tournaments for a few key reasons. First they believe that SeeMore gives them their best chance to play great and win. Second they love the fact that SeeMore builds custom made putters for any player interested, providing the golfer the exact look, feel, and balance that they desire, in any specification they need.

Seemore has been a revered putter brand for over 15 years.  SeeMore originally became recognized when Payne Stewart won the 1999 U.S. Open playing a SeeMore putter in the greatest final round putting performance in US Open History. The brand was re-launched in 2007, and immediately regained worldwide prominence as Zach Johnson used a SeeMore FGP to win the 2007 Masters. Zach Johnson’s historic win at the 2015 Open Championship now becomes the 3d leg of the “SeeMore Slam.” SeeMore now has over 800 worldwide certified instructors, fitters, and sales people who are brand ambassadors and well informed on how the many benefits of the SeeMore putter and SeeMore putting system can help golfers everywhere.

As our stockists and custom fit outlets continue to grow finding a location close to you is getting easier.

We have a philosophy that with putting being a crucial part of your game and about 40% of your shots, having a custom fit putter could make a real difference.  All of our outlets / stockists go through a certification process to enable and ensure you get the best experience and the right putter to meet your needs.

Platinum Tour Mini Giant

The FGP design is SeeMore’s most recognizable product, the flagship shape for the brand and the winning putter of 3 Major Championships and over 20 Tour victories. The smallest of the GIANT series, the Mini GIANT Stealth is created using 4 sets of non adjustable copper weights in the extreme toe and heel section as well as the perimeter of the sole, for the ultimate MOI to size ratio. Milled Aluminum head weight is 350 grams. Black Finish.

All Putter Models Have SeeMore's Patented RifleScope Technology (RST) Alignment System, For A True Reference Point For Perfect Alignment And Set Up On Every Putt. This putter is face balanced at impact or “balanced to plane”, meaning it's dynamically balanced to the angle you putt and naturally returns to square at impact - less manipulation during the stroke to keep the putter face on the correct path.

Rosemark putter grip technology offers, “tension free putting" for all golfers due to the unique patented shape, which perfectly “maps” the golfer’s hand.  Rosemark putter grips are now available worldwide through Premium Golf Brands, which also owns and distributes SeeMore putters.

Rosemark grips were created when Mark Cokewell, the CEO and Founder of Rosemark, wanted to create a putter grip that fit better in a golfers hand, with a more consistently squared set up, more control, and less tension.  He mapped the hand using experts in biomechanics.  He then also studied other sports and activities where a square, consistent grip is required, and started creating prototypes, with regular input from the worlds best teachers and players.

What Rosemark’s development team came up with was a truly revolutionary, yet pleasingly simple and intuitive, design. All Rosemark grips share the same patented and premium design of a beautifully textured, tapered shape in several sizes with multiple angles in a hexagon shape around the grip, which completely conform to the shape of a hand. Rosemark helps the golfer set up square and keep the putter head square at set up and during the stroke, with the same minimal grip pressure that the best players in the world use. The Rosemark brand has won 3 Major Championships in less than a year.

Tour Mini Giant Pleasing customer

Putter arrived and is a absolute beauty.  (SeeMore Tour Mini Giant 34 inches with Tartan White Head Cover and Rosemark 1.52 Blue Grip)

First report from putting matt at home is its almost cheating, very nice soft feel and the grip is great.

Re size it doesn't appear massive but then again I deliberately haven't compared it to my other putters

Will play Monday and see how it goes, then decide if I need to paint the rifle scopes as not very clear inside the house.

Again thanks for great service and product

Switzerland Customer

I don’t get much opportunity to play much golf these days. so I can only now inform you about my new putter.  Thanks to the Riflescope system, my putting has become very solid especially over shorter putts and has just about eliminated three-putting; is it more confidence or the system? Who knows but it doesn’t really matter, the putts go in!

Many of my playing partners are also intrigued, so maybe when I have some time I’ll do the certification programme.

In any case, many thanks for your patience and professionalism.

Kind regards from Switzerland,

Justin Happy

Just wanted to say that I actually got out onto the course this week to use my SeeMore putter; well, it passed it’s first test with flying colours  and hope to have a long history with the putter!
Many thanks,
Justin

Richard Rodgers - Happy with new SeeMore FGP

Received my first ever Seemore putter today. Went for the original FGP and all I can say is WOW. This baby is so easy to align. I know there are folks out there who collect Seemore stuff, but if this FGP performs as well on the greens as it does on my lounge carpet I can't really see me buying another putter. Thank you for all the advice the other day Melvyn.

New SeeMore in the bag

Tweet from @JWSWindowsLtd on his new SeeMore putter used for the first time and that it was custom fit by Melvyn at Four Counties Golf.

A very satisfied Customer

I wanted to write to say I love my new SeeMore Giant FGP putter which I acquired recently.  I first saw the club in a pro shop last December in the KLGC (ie the Kuala Lumpur  Golf Club), I had a couple of practise swings in the pro shop and liked the feel.

I came back to London (where I live), read up about SeeMore putters, their unique alignment system and toyed with the idea of switching from my Scotty Cameron putter.

After doing my own research, I spoke several times in great detail to Melvyn Fern (your agent / distributor here in the UK), who was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about your products and the art of putting, he convinced me to drop my Scotty Cameron and  buy the SeeMore Giant FGP putter.

Melvyn  then asked for :-  my measurements, my putting style ie stance & grip etc, what kind of grip I would like on the club and proceeded to assemble the Giant FGP putter to meet my specific requirements.

The putter was delivered to my house within two days and enclosed with the putter, was Pat O'Brien's teaching video (which is great). Not only that,  Melvyn kindly gave me a follow up call after I received the putter, asking if I was happy with my new putter - which I was and still am !

Melvyn Fern is a fabulous ambassador for your company / product (he really is). The world of golf could certainly do with a few more people like Melvyn Fern - he is a real asset to your company and product.

With the fantastic alignment mechanism, I am so much more confident in my putting strokes now and I have already cut the number of putts quite significantly off my game.  The regular people that I  play golf with at my golf club  & society have been asking all kinds of questions about my SeeMore putter - of course I am spreading the good word for you !

Best wishes,  Kam Chat
