Drumoig Golf Centre on board as SPI Centre

Pleased to welcome Drumoig Golf Centre to the SPI Centre outlets custom fitting snd selling SeeMore Putters.  The team have the range of Classic SeeMore Putters available for fittings and demo purposes and are able to do a full fitting to ensure you purchase a putter which is the right length, loft and lie for you.

The method is simple as a SeeMore allows a golfer to have the same consistent set-up, posture, ball position and stroke for EVERY single putt.  Hiding the Red Dot, and seeing the 2 white framing lines on either side of the shaft, provides the golfer immediate feedback when setup or stroke is just a bit off.

With putting accounting for approx 40% of your game having a custom fit putter could be the difference you are looking for.

Off Season review/refresh of equipment

Most people have now finished their golf competitions and are going in to the off season.  During these months they will review a number of things:

Grips -
Do clubs need regripping - when they do play in the winter months and probably encounter rain, grips can be slippy as worn and old.

Equipment -
Review of their current clubs to determine if they all worked as they would like in the last year, is there a gap in the bag which needs looking at.
Have shafts helped and enabled them to maintain distance off the tee and fairway, or is there some improvements that could be achieved, possibly from a re-shaft on some/all clubs, or could new or an update of equipment be the answer in some areas.

Putter -
A simple review of number of putts per round and especially how many two or more putts per green, could be a good indicator of an area for improvement.  Setting up consistently for every putt, with the putter grip held in the same place, with the ball in the same position, whether its a 3 foot or 15 foot putt and ensuring the putter is the right length, loft and lie adjusted to ensure the head is flat to the ground and a simple method for set up could be the answer.

Any updates over the coming months gives you time to bed them in and work with your pro/coach to ensure your game and equipment are ready for the 2020 season.

Jean-Marc Gruner - SeeMore Stockist

Jean-Marc Grüner - ClubMaker is the top fitting specialist for SeeMore, relocating his workshop exclusively to the Golfclub München Eichenried in the winter of 2018. Not only does Jean-Marc love golf, he also makes the perfect teamwork with the golf player day after day. He wants to work with people to get the most out the their equipment and now stocking SeeMore Putters in his repertoire.

To have a custom fitting for a SeeMore Putter, especially as putting is 40% of your game will ensure you have the right length, loft and lie.  Along with the SeeMore Method of "Hide the Red Dot" which aids a consistent set up for every putt.  Take out the inconsistencies of holding the grip in different places for each putt, not setting up square and with the putter in a different position, these all contribute to an inconsistent result so a SeeMore is going to support you in reducing the number of putts per round.

James Jankowski on board as new SPI

We welcome on board as a new SeeMore Putter SPI Certified outlet - James Jankowski.  Based at Old Fold Manor Golf Club James has a purpose built putting studio. Within the studio James has a prototype bespoke design adjustable slope green, built by WellPutt. The speed of the green is currently approximately 14ft on the stimp meter, with the ability to change the slope on any single plane up to 3%. An example putt could be 2% downhill and 3% left to right.

Within the studio James has specialist software with Quintic Ball Roll and CAPTO, with the ability to display all data in real time on a big screen. Combining this software with the ability to adjust slope means data trends and tendencies can be captured for a variety of breaking putts.

Don't go to your regular club fitter. Get a putter fitting with a putting expert!

So many golfers are now beginning to understand the importance of their having their equipment custom fitted to suit their needs and technique. When it comes to a putter this should be no different.

A putter custom fitting session with James will go into intricate detail to find the EXACT specifications best suited to you. With a great understanding of the technical side of putting and knowledge of putter technology and building, no putter fitting shall be more thorough.

Royal Lytham & St Annes GC host SeeMore on 7/9

Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club host a SeeMore Putters Demo event on 7 Sept 2019.  Putting is 40% of your game so having a custom fit putter at the right length, loft and lie is going to support you in reducing the number of putts per round.  How many times do you 3 putt?  How many times do you leave it short? How many times do you think you are lined up correctly to miss on the left?

The SeeMore Method could be what you are looking for to give a consistent set up for every putt.  Taking out the inconsistencies of holding the grip in different places for each putt, not setting up square and with the putter in a different position, will all contribute to an inconsistent result.

Take the time to view the range from the Classic Series through to fully milled Platinum Series.

It is 20 years since Payne Stuart won the 1999 US Open and the 2015 British Open Winner has been using a SeeMore since 2004 along with a number of other prominent players on the Staysure Seniors Tour, PGA and European Tour.  Putt like a champion with a SeeMore Putter!

Chris Williams Senior Open

Chris came on to the putting green to practice and picked up and tried a lot of the putters.  He liked the feel of the Platinum z3 but also liked the shape of the Platinum Series mTriMallet.  We also had a demo putter with the STABILITY putter shaft from Breakthrough Golf Technology (see web site for info https://breakthroughgolftech.com/)  Chris didn't miss from 10 feet and when he hit 4 putts from 30 feet got 3 out of 4 in the hole.  So, the Platinum Tri Mallet is being build with the STABILITY putter shaft and will be sent to Chris to hopefully put into play at the next tournament.

Chris also likes the ACCRA shaft he plays in his 3 wood.  Tour Z 455 m4 gives him accuracy and distance.

Jean Francois Remesy

At the Senior Open on the putting green at Royal Lytham St Annes the professionals were given the opportunity to try the range of SeeMore Putters.  The Platinum Series were very popular and Jean Francois Remesy loved the m5HT

Whilst videoing him and showing him the replay he realised he was lifting his head and moving his shoulders quite a lot, so he removed these two elements and he dropped 9 out of 10 into the hole from 10 feet.

Loving the method and set up of the SeeMore he decided to take it out on the course for a practice round on Wednesday and put in to play on Thursday.

Dropped another .2 off Handicap

Mary dropped me a note this morning to say she had dropped her handicap again since using the SeeMore mFGP20 platinum series putter and the simple method of Hide the Red Dot for each and every putt, whether a foot or 20 foot.  Its working and she is seeing the results come in each time she plays as there is now a consistent set up with a putter that is the right length, loft and lie and she gets instant feedback from the putter head if she can see the red dot.

So pleased to get such great results coming through from a lady who puts in the practice time and is now off 2.1.  I'm sure we will continue to see the handicap come down.  Well Done Mary!!

Club Champ with mFGP20

10/7/19 - Great news - Earlier in the month Mary had been in touch for a bit of guidance to support her practice sessions with the putter.  Well it definitely paid off as today Mary texted me to say she had won the Wellingborough Ladies Club Championship with a 2 over gross and 1 over gross rounds and putted brilliantly.  Huge congratulations Mary from Team SeeMore.

May 2019 - Following the trying of a friends putter Mary decided to book in for a custom fitting and some guidance and advise on how to get the best out of a SeeMore Putter.  Mary took on board the session, ordered the new MFGP20 which brings the look of a classic heel and toe weighted blade to the FGP family with enhanced forgiveness. The MFGP20 blade offers a look of exceptional confidence at address, and is Face Balanced at Impact, meaning the putter head will remain square to the plane throughout the stroke. The MFGP20 has a beautiful Platinum finish with intricate multiple milling patterns over the entire putter, including a deep milled face for exceptional Feel and Roll. Features the new "Sniper Scope" logo, representing the ultimate in Performance, Precision, and Exclusivity that the new Platinum Series has to offer. Striking design with lasting beauty. Straight near center bore shaft position. Full toe hang. 100% Milled in the USA of the most expenseive grade of USA made 303 Stainless steel. Alignment benefits of RifleScope Technology (RST).

It is always great to get positive feedback in any form and an email received later that day was lovely to get.

"Just to say thanks for today, great experience and looking forward to not using my new toy too often!!!!!!!"

SeeMore Putters offer golfers the #1 alignment putting system in golf. SeeMore’s patented RifleScope Technology (RST), known by a visible gun sight on the top line, allows the golfer to set up the putter perfectly each and every time in relation to the intended target line. This is accomplished by lining up the black bottom portion of the shaft between two white lines and covering a signature red dot on the heel of the top line. The process is like locking radar onto a target. The two parallel white sight lines frame the shaft and serve as an indicator that the golfer is in perfect position to make a consistent and reliable stroke.

SeeMore has been a revered putter brand for over 15 years. SeeMore originally became recognized when Payne Stewart won the 1999 U.S. Open playing a SeeMore putter in the greatest clutch final round putting performance in US Open History. The brand was re-launched in 2007, and immediately regained worldwide prominence as Zach Johnson used a SeeMore FGP to win the 2007 Masters.

I’m quite excited! says Ged Read

I shot my best ever gross today (73 against a par of 70). I know it was only the Friday morning roll up and off the yellow pots but I’ve never hit the ball so well and accurately from tee to green. My iron play (including the 5 hybrid) is finally getting close to the consistency of the driver you made for me. I also made some great putts for birdie, which I haven’t done very often in the past (my previous birdies have usually come from close approach shots or chip ins). My distance control and accuracy have both improved dramatically with the Seemore, it’s getting to the stage where I’m disappointed if I’m not holing or nearly holing the 20 footers whereas before I was almost relieved not to 3 putt.

I took a bit more care with the preparation today with my iron shots and there wasn’t a hint of them going off to the right. They all flew dead straight and it was only the quality of the strike that affected the outcome in terms of front to back dispersion.

Sorry I’ve gone on a bit but basically thank you so much, you’ve done a great job!

His Tour Edge Exotics with Accra Golf Shafts and SeeMore Putter - FGP Original are really working well.

Alison Nicholas using M7Tour SeeMore Putter

Referral from client was great to receive and when it turned out to be Alison Nicholas the 1997 US Open Ladies Champions we were very happy to help.

Alison wanted some new clubs to be checked out for the loft and lie - umm they did need some tweaking.  With the right equipment at hand the irons were all checked and amended to meet her needs.  Alison was then interested in the Tour Edge Exotics EXS woods and irons and took the time to do a fitting with Melvyn and try them out.  Impressed she decided to have the 3 wood and 2 hybrids, all fitted with the Accra FX2 100 shafts.  Then came the putter and following a fitting and guidance again from Melvyn on the set up and use of the SeeMore Putter opted for the Platinum fully milled M7 Tour blade.

Alison’s playing career in golf spanned from 1980 to 2004 claiming 18 Professional titles establishing herself as one of Europe’s most successful players.

Taking the game up rather late at the age of 17 did not deter her in the slightest. Within 4 years she had represented Yorkshire at county level and went on to win the 1983 British Stroke play Championship before turning professional in 1984.

Her breakthrough in the professional ranks came in 1987 winning the Weetabix Ladies British Open at St Mellion. Throughout the 80’s and early 90’s Alison was a regular winner on the Ladies European Tour.

After representing Europe in the inaugural Solheim Cup in 1990 Alison was encouraged to play in America and take on the best in the world. Improving her technique under the watchful eye of Lawrence Farmer proved successful and in 1995 she won her first Tournament in America.

The highlight of her playing career was to come two years later when she was crowned 1997 US Open Champion when she held off golfing legend Nancy Lopez to win her first major. Following this success Alison was awarded the MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List for services to women’s golf.

The Solheim Cup

Alison’s career has been in entwined with the Solheim Cup. Having represented Europe six times, with memorable victories in 1992, 2000 and 2003 Alison has also been heavily involved in role of Vice Captain (2003 & 2005) and Captain (2009 & 2011).

The events at Killeen Castle in September 2011 saw Alison captain the European Team to a dramatic and memorable victory over the Americans. The 15 – 13 win by Europe has been described as one of the greatest matches in the history of golf.

Smiles Galore from Customer

Always good to have a happy customer. Ged Read picked up his Tour Edge Golf Exotics CBX CB irons with ICWT85 ACCRA Golf shafts, PURE Grips DTX grips, EXS Hybrid with Accra FX100 shaft, and SeeMore Putter Company FGP Original. The bag is ready for the season. Enjoy!

Customer Happy and Winning

11 Handicaper Christine received her brand new SeeMore FGP20 platinum on Tuesday 7th May.  Takes it out on the course for the medal after a few putts on the putting green and scores a fabulous gross 78.  Christine came for a custom fitting and took on the advise given by Melvyn for setup, posture and it certainly paid dividends.  Christine posted on Facebook :

Here it is !!!! My wonderful new SeeMore Putter ( still needs a name - any suggestions?). First outing yesterday and it was fantastic- 4 over par at WHGC. Thanks to Mel/Anne at Four Counties Golf. Great club and great technical advice - don’t ask about the measuring tape at 10.5 inches.

Christine is no longer 11 handicap and is on the road to her target of single figures.  Good luck - remember the method and putt with confidence.

20 Years on!!

The SeeMore Platinum Series of 100 percent milled putters do more than expand the company’s lineup of mallets and blades. What they really do is honor the company’s legendary start while showing how far it’s come at the same time.

Firstly, the SeeMore Platinum Series commemorates the 20th anniversary of the distinctive putter’s defining moment: Payne Stewart’s 72nd hole U.S. Open-winning putt at Pinehurst No. 2 in 1999. Stewart used the company’s first putter, the FGP, a curiously-shafted blade-like model that introduced two critical aspects of putter design. Those include the company’s aiming technology, called “Riflescope, in which a player is able to sense the putter is properly aligned by using lines on the heel to frame the shaft at address.

The second aspect involves the unique balance of many SeeMore putters, starting with the original. Unlike most putters up to that point, the SeeMore FGP was neither heel balanced or face balanced. It was, as the initials describe, “featuring ground plumb,” said Jim Grundberg, Seemore CEO.

SeeMore Putters - Platinum mFGP20

“The ‘featuring ground plumb’ is what we now refer to as ‘face Balanced at Impact,” he said. “It means that the putter face will naturally remain square to the natural arc of the proper putting plane at all times, naturally squaring up at the bottom of the arc.”

That familiar SeeMore head shape, which also was used in 2007 Masters and 2015 British Open wins by Zach Johnson, has been reimagined in the Platinum Series new MFGP20 head. (The “platinum” also refers to the modern 20th anniversary gift.) While the shaping on the Platinum Series MFGP20 looks similar, the update moves some of the weight from a block in the middle of the back of the head on the original to the heel and toe. That increases forgiveness, while at the same time providing a cleaner look, Grundberg said.

The MFGP20 is one of a collection of different head shapes and hosel positions in the Platinum Series lineup. The Platinum Series debuted earlier this year with the M7x blade and the M5x mallet, both with straight-in, center-shafted hosel bores and both milled from 303 stainless steel. The new models added to the Platinum Series 303 stainless steel family include the M5 HT mallet, which has a scooped out center section with heel and toe wings; the M5w HT, which features an offset shaft on the M5 HT head; the M7 Tour, which offers a more heel-shafted version of the M7x blade as well as an offset version (M7wTour); and the MTri-Mallet, a version of the M5 shape with angle cuts in the rear heel and toe portions. There’s also the SB20 Mallet, a milled 6061 aluminum, rear weighted, heel-shafted mallet that is also available in center-shafted (SB20c) and offset models (SBw20).

Platinum SB20 Mallet

“This new Platinum Series is showcasing of course our Riflescope technology, but also some different bore hole positions and shaft options for a much broader collection than what we’ve typically offered,” Grundberg said. “So many players have putted for so long with putters that have had more of a heel orientation so we wanted to showcase that the precision of our alignment system still works with both more of a heel-shafted look and an offset look.

“It really is a nice umbrella offering that will bring a lot of new players to take a look at SeeMore that maybe felt we were just too limited. We’re showing we can do more than just straight and center-shafted heads.”

The Platinum Series heads all feature an additional engraved blue line on top for a secondary source of aim and alignment. A milling pattern on the face, including aluminum inserts on the “Private Reserve” models, is designed to improve feel and roll.

The SeeMore Platinum Series putters are available in custom lengths of 30-39 inches and custom lie angles from 68-72 degrees.

Golf Digest Product Review M5x

Golf Digest review of the Private Reserve m5x

The Verdict: SeeMore putters are known for their alignment features. When you address the putt, and the shaft hides the familiar red dot, you know you’re set up properly. This milled stainless-steel mallet also has a center alignment line to add focus on the direction of the putterhead, instead of just squaring up your body. A milled aluminum face insert provides soft feel, and you can customize head weight, length, lie, grip and even headcover.

2019 Golf Digest Hot List - M7x

Golf Digest Hot List reviews the Private Reserve M7x.

The Verdict: Everything begins and ends with alignment. This centershaft blade has the familiar RifleScope system: Golfers can tell if they’re square to the target if the putter’s shaft hides a red dot on the heel. The body is milled from stainless steel, and the face features a milled-aluminum insert that’s larger to create a softer feel across more of the face. Completing the alignment features is a distinctive blue center line on the flange.

SeeMore Win at French Senior Ladies

French Senior Amateur Open last week held at Biarritz Golf Club.  Didn't do very well myself but was pleased to be able to support and caddy for the winner of the Best Nett Competition.

Christine plays off 11 and uses a SeeMore FGP Original Blade.  After the first two rounds she was lying 3rd nett and asked me to spend some time with her on the putting green as kept missing the short putts.

15 minutes later doing a reminder of the set up to get the perfect position of the putter head, undertaking the clock exercise at 3ft and not one putt was missed.  Confidence boosted and the final round of less than 30 putts moved her into the winning spot.

This session prompted one of the other players from our group to look at the method and asked me for some input.  She ended up borrowing a SeeMore in her final rounds and reduced the number of putts taken.  She is now coming to see us for a custom fitting and to purchase her own.

Christine said "Anne reminded me of the technique just before I played the final round at the Trophee Simone Thion de la Chaume Cup and what can I say it? It worked superbly well - hurrah for Seemore and Mel /Anne at Four Counties Golf."

The process using an internal hosel that sits in the head and up the shaft enables the shaft to be bent and therefore enables the lie angle to adjusted so that the putter sits flat on the ground.  So no matter what the angle of your address with your hands rather than have the toe in the air or heal in the air we can adjust to sit flat on the ground.  Also, the loft on the putters as standard is 2.5 degrees, which is the optimum loft to get a good roll off the face of the putters.  This can also be adjusted to between 1 and 3 degrees.

All Putter Models Have SeeMore's Patented RifleScope Technology (RST) Alignment System, For A True Reference Point For Perfect Alignment And Set Up On Every Putt.

RST TECHNOLOGY

The patented RST, known by a visible gun sight on the top line, allows the golfer to set up the putter perfectly each and every time in relation to the intended target line.

Simply line up the black bottom portion of the shaft between two white lines and hide the signature red dot on the heel of the top line.

The two parallel white sight lines frame the shaft and serve as an indicator that the golfer is in perfect position to make a consistent and reliable stroke.

It's that simple. Hide the red dot.

Calum Hill

Calum got in touch with the head office in USA and as the local UK/Europe distributor for SeeMore the enquiry was forwarded to us.  Calum was sent a custom built putter that day and was great to get the following email note from him.

"I just wanted to reach out and thank you humongously for getting me the seemore putter so swiftly!!!

While I have used a different PTM1 version in the past as a training aid (didn’t put it in the bad because I would pull it), this older FGP version with the custom specs was unbelievable!

I practiced with it and it was going exactly where I wanted it to and my pace control was superb (far better than ever). I have no idea why that is but it just worked out.

I ended up putting it in the bag this week in Northern Ireland and putted brilliantly!

Without it I wouldn’t have came close to the victory this week! All down to you guys!!

Thank you again,

Calum Hill "

Additionally, the club will work with both VisitScotland and Scottish Golf to support and fund women and junior golf development initiatives and make its practice facilities available to Scottish Golf’s amateur squads during preparation for major events.

Rosemark putter grips provide tension free putting with greater control.

All Rosemark grips share the same patented and premium design of a beautifully textured, tapered shape in several sizes with multiple angles in a hexagon shape around the grip, which completely conform to the shape of a hand. Rosemark helps the golfer set up square and keep the putter head square at set up and during the stroke, with the same minimal grip pressure that the best players in the world use.

Rosemark putter grips came into great prominence during 2015 and 2016 as they were used by several of the best golfers on the planet, female World #1 Lydia Ko as well as PGA Tour World top 20 player Russell Knox. A demo day is in the diary at Vale of Llangollen Golf Club for 23rd June - 10.30 to 3pm.  Contact the Pro Shop for info.

Great opportunity for members, visitors and invitees to come along and be custom fit for a SeeMore Putter and try the range of heads to find the one that suits them.  Also they can try the revolutionary Rosemark Grip.   There is no obligation to buy.

Ko won 2 Major Championships and 7 tournaments worldwide using the Rosemark 1.52 NextGen putter grip, while Knox won the 2016 Travelers Championship using the Rosemark 1.25 NextGen putter grip.

Bought M1t

Customer emailed us to ask advise about getting a SeeMore Putter fitting.  Was prepared to travel over 2 hours to get to us as wanted to see the range of putters on offer before making a decision.  He thought he knew roughly what he wanted but was prepared to try the models before deciding.

Fitting was undertaken to determine correct length and he then took up his posture, which was pretty good, with eyes over the back of the putter and putter head in the middle of the stance.  So it came down to him trying out the different head styles and materials.  With a different feel available because of head materials Frank took his time to find the one he was most comfortable with.

Fitting completed and decision made, Frank was pleased to have the Giant M1t putter built and shipped to him within 48 hours.  It wasn't a putter that had been on his radar originally, but the fitting gave him the full options to choose from.  Lovely feedback received.

"It has just arrived and looks beautiful.  Shame I can't use it on grass until the snow clears. A big thank you to you and Melvyn for your splendid service."

Wellingborough Golf Club

Welcome on board to Wellingborough Golf Club and Professional David Clifford.

Wellingborough Golf Club, a private members Club situated at Harrowden Hall in the Heart of the Northamptonshire countryside, offers a magnificent golf course set in 160 acres of fine rolling parkland.

We have a long tradition of welcoming visitors to play our par 72, 6721 yard course, and regularly host Regional, County and Open competitions.

We offer facilities for hosting conferences, seminars and a variety of functions, including weddings and anniversary parties, in our spacious Hall and superbly maintained grounds.

Access to Wellingborough is easy and convenient via A14, M1 and A1 motorways.

At Harrowden Hall

Work on the present course began in 1972, and it was opened in 1975. When the Hall was purchased for use as a Clubhouse, the original layout was changed so that the first tee and the eighteenth green could be seen from the clubhouse.

Two par three holes and two par fives were replaced by testing par fours. In 1999, all the greens, bunkers and surrounds were re-laid and new drainage put in at a cost of £500,000.

The result is that the Club now has the facilities to host year-round golf on greens that meet USGA standards.

Early Days

The Club was formed in 1893 by seven gentlemen who invited others who might be interested to meet at 8pm on Friday November 3rd in the Welllingborough Drill Hall. Twenty-nine men were present and enthusiastic, so Old Tom Morris was engaged to lay out the first course on three fields belonging to Nest Farm (what is now the Finedon Road industrial estate).

The first clubhouse of any substance was a railway carriage. In 1923, a new nine hole course was constructed by Tom Williamson of Notts Golf Club, at the Bushfield, 'Waterworks' site (the present Gleneagles Drive area of Wellingborough).

The Club flourished there until 1975 when it moved to its present home at Harrowden Hall.

Sutton Coldfield Golf Club

Delivered the SeeMore Putter SPI Pack to Sutton Coldfield Golf Club at 12 noon on 23 February 2018 and by 3pm first order was placed for a custom fit and build putter.  With the putter being about 40% of your game having a fitting and then a club built to suit your needs you should see the handicap impact in the right direction.

In common with many clubs founded in England in the late Victorian period, Sutton Coldfield Golf Club boasted a clergyman of the Established Church, the Reverend Canon WCR Bedford, as one of its founders and a drawing of him hangs prominently in the main room of the Club to this day. The Club was founded in 1889 and at first played as a nine hole course laid out at the Town Gate of Sutton Park. The Park comprising 2,400 acres, was originally part of the Great Chase of Cannock, but by the sixteenth century the encroachment of farmland had seperated it from the Chase. This seperation allowed it to be gifted to the citizens of the Town by Henry VIII through the agency of a local notable, Bishop Vesey, who was one of Henry’s Lord Chancellors. The proximity of the Town Gate site to a centre of population meant that it was never likely to suffice for long, although it must be noted that a game was played on as near the original course as possible as part of the Centenary celebrations in 1989. In 1890 the Club moved to its current site near the Streetly Gate of the Park. 18 holes were laid out by 1893 and a Clubhouse was built a few years later on a freehold site outside the boundaries of the Park opposite the first tee.

A crucial time for this Club, as for most other Clubs, was when the full impact of the First World War was experienced. The carnage of that War, carrying away so many young men, meant that the critical point of survival was approached very closely in, and after, those years. Between 1913 and 1918, the number of male club members fell from 255 to about 125 and it was in that context that the Committee of the day demonstrated a degree of courage, surely envied by its successors, in approaching Dr. MacKenzie of Leeds to revise the course to enhance its popularity. Dr MacKenzie has subsequently become one of the most celebrated Golf Architects in the world, but at the end of the War he was only beginning to emerge in the profession. MacKenzie first visited the Club in 1919 and, showing no few qualities as a salesman at least, observed "The land on which the present course is situated is almost the best heathland I know for golf ... if the suggested alterations are done ... there is no reason why it should not compare favourably with the best inland course in Britain, and be vastly superior to many seaside ones".

MacKenzie’s plans were adopted after several modifications but the project did not proceed quickly due largely to a serious grass fire in 1921. The fire burnt deeply into the peat in places and this contributed to a crippling financial debt only being avoided through the generous efforts of the members. Incidentally the total refurbishment of a bunker in 2015 uncovered a layer of ash that had lain undisturbed since that fire 94 years before. MacKenzie’s revised course opened finally in September 1934 and while many tees have been extended and supplemented by others and some bunkers have been changed, much of MacKenzie’s work has survived.

The Club has hosted many prestigious events during its existence. However the Centenary in 1989 gave the Club the opportunity to celebrate its existence, and celebrate it did, in style! Among the many events held was a Pro-Am that attracted Vijay Singh, Sam Torrance, Laura Davies, Manuel Pinero, Jose Rivero, Jose-Maria Canizares and many others.

Away from all the ‘sound and fury’ it is the fair, but frequently stern test that the course presents in idyllic surroundings that continues to attract real golfers to become members of the Club. The roman road, Icknield Street crosses the course on its way to join Watling Street at what is now called the village of Wall. The past and the present envelop this course both on a bright spring morning and on a drowsy summer’s evening.

Manor Golf Club

Pleased to welcome Phil Cary PGA Professional at The Manor Golf Club as a Certified SPI Fitter for the SeeMore Range of Putters.

Heritage

In 1989, the Bathew family decided that they'd had enough of farming and in order to still get some use out of the land, they were going to build a golf course.

In 1991 the club was established as a business venture and the family approached Mr Ted Anderson, a local architect and family friend, and asked if he would design the layout of a 9 hole course on the 70 acres of land. This, along with the building of the clubhouse that would eventually overlook the whole course, was the best start the Manor could have gotten. The 9 hole course proved to be great fun to play and as Ted's first attempt at course design, a great base from which to expand to 18. The only regret now is that more photographs weren't taken. (always the case I guess)

After 4 years some neighbouring land became available and it was decided that as membership was improving, then maybe a course extension was warranted.

In 1994 the club purchased another 33 acres of land and duly brought in a golf course constructor to change the existing 9 holes into an 18 hole golf course. This would involve a complete reshaping of the 9 hole layout, indeed, only the first and second remain from the original Ted Anderson design.

In 1996 the club held its first full 18 hole competition. It really was a memorable day, enjoyed by all. Shortly after this all the newly constructed greens developed 'take-all' disease which decimated the playing surface. It would be 2 years before the greens and course as a whole, would recover.

In 1999 the club acquired another 16 acres of adjacent land and built 3 brand new holes - par 3,4 and 5 - and got rid of 3 par 3's. This took the par of the course up to a more respectable 71. This also brought in the new regime of USGA greens, built by the greenstaff 'in house', and got rid of 3 poorly constructed ones.

In 2003, another USGA green was constructed on top of what was by far the most unfair green on the course - the infamous 3rd. A wickedly sloping green that was hard to keep the ball on.

In 2008, another 3 USGA greens were constructed to replace the 1st, 7th and 9th. The original greens were all poorly constructed using materials from the ponds that were dug out. New, larger tees are constantly being constructed in order to keep up with the popularity of the course.

Woodsome Hall Golf Club

Situated to the south of Huddersfield and close to the main motorway networks, Woodsome Hall Golf Club provides traditional quality golfing values to its members and visitors alike. With a Par of 70 and a SSS of 71 the course is an excellent test of skill for golfers of all levels with accuracy and thought being the key to success.

Our 16th century Grade 1 listed Club House is truly stunning and steeped in history. Here you will be able to take advantage of the wonderful catering, cask beers and fine hospitality on offer which all adds to providing an unforgettable golfing experience.

PUTTING CENTRE

Above the pro-shop John has developed an indoor putting centre where members at Woodsome Hall GC are now able to enjoy one of the best facilities in Yorkshire. There is a 40 foot indoor putting green and more than 70 putters from more than 7 golf brands for players to test out including the SeeMore Putter which has won over $40m for Zach Johnson.  The facility has been described by many a club professional as being ‘magnificent!’

The putting area features a state-of-the-art surface which measures a 12 on the stimp meter: this speed having been chosen as it provides the user with a true roll. It also has a surface around the outside of the green which imitates the fringe on an outside green thus providing the ability to provide chipping lessons indoors.

PUTTING ZONE

John is the only National Putting Zone Coach in the UK. He has worked closely with Geoff Mangum at Putting Zone on perfecting the art of putting and is now highly regarded as one of the best putting coaches in the country.

If you are interested in improving the most important part of you game, then contact John and get into the Putting Zone!

Brief insight into Putting Zone...

Putting has FOUR skills, not just the stroke, and these four skills must be integrated with instinctive touch and stroke timing -- Read, Aim, Stroke, and Touch. In the Putting Zone, you will find the most comprehensive and lethally effective putting techniques in golf history -- combining the best from golf since the 1800s with advanced physics, anatomy, biomechanics, motor science, and especially the NEW neuroscience of perceptual and movement processes in the brain and body for instinctive reading, aiming, stroking and controlling distance and pace. You're either in the Putting Zone, or not.

Sherwood Customer Fitting

Always nice to get feedback and very pleased to see Sherwood Forest getting a great email from a customer.

"Dear Stuart

I came and had a fitting with you and subsequently purchased my Seemore giant putter. I would just like to thank you for the excellent service you provided on the day and the few tips you gave me over the fitting/lesson. It's taken me a good few weeks to get used to the incredibly soft feel but now I have my putting has improved so much. Haven't had a 3 putt in weeks and shot 2 over at Gainsborough the other week best round I've had in many years. I look forward to coming and playing at Sherwood in the not to distant future.

I would recommend your service and like to point out at no point I felt under pressure to purchase (although I'm glad I did 😁👍)

Regards and Best wishes

SeeMore putters attend the Seniors Open at Royal Porthcawl on Monday 24th and Tuesday 25th July.

With professional players being given the opportunity to try the range of putters available and the putter that won the 2015 Open and been in play with that player since 2004, the simplicity of the method and instant feedback the putter is able to give on set up is second to none and many of the Pro's liked this approach.

Interest from many players for the putter and the Rosemark grips saw the days to be very busy.  Head Professional Andrew Reynolds from Royal Cinq Ports ordered an mFGP DF with the new 1.38 Rosemark Grip for example.  As a current SPi centre for Seemore Andrew is keen to put a the putter into play himself  and feels the method will help him and his members get the best out of their games.

SeeMore to attend The Open

SeeMore Putters will be attending the practice days of The Open at Royal Birkdale on 17-19 July.

Royal Birkdale hosting The Open for the tenth time and will welcome the world’s greatest golfers to one of the sport’s most renowned and challenging venues.

2015 Champion Zach Johnson once considered one of the most underrated players in golf earned his place amongst the all-time greats of the game which was sealed with a play-off victory at St Andrews.

The 39-year-old from Iowa capped off a wild week at the home of golf by sinking challenging putts on the first and second to finish one shot clear of 2010 Champion Louis Oosthuizen of South Africa and three ahead of Aussie Marc Leishman over four extra holes. It brought to a close one of the most memorable Opens in recent history, which saw the world’s best players scrambling right to the finish to claim the historic Claret Jug. Torrential rain closed the Old Course on Friday before gale-force winds stopped play on Saturday, resulting in only the second Monday finish in the history of The Open. It was Johnson who outlasted it all – the weather, the charging competition, and the storied Old Course – becoming only the sixth man to win both the Masters Tournament and The Open at St Andrews, joining Jack Nicklaus, Sam Snead, Seve Ballesteros, Nick Faldo and Tiger Woods. Johnson struck just 15 putts over the first 12 holes of this final round, before nailing a 22-footer on the 72nd hole to complete a closing six-under-par 66 and finish on 15-under alongside Oosthuizen and Leishman. His subsequent play-off victory secured his place in golf’s pantheon as the 2015 Champion Golfer of the Year. "I'm grateful. I'm humbled. I'm honoured," Johnson said. "This is the birthplace of the game, and that Jug means so much in sports."

It was the latest achievement for Johnson, who earned his Green Jacket at Augusta in 2007 and has earned 12 victories on the PGA TOUR. A multi-sport athlete in his youth, he played for the Drake University golf team before setting records on the Nationwide Tour in 2003 for scoring average and money earned to secure his PGA TOUR card the following season. He has appeared on the United States Ryder Cup side four times and is the only player alongside Phil Mickelson to have twice shot a round of 60 on the PGA TOUR.

Pitch London

Welcome to Pitch Golf Studio, the home of modern golf in the City of London. We are pleased to now stock the SeeMore Putter range.

We welcome members and visitors to use our stunning simulators and enjoy our friendly atmosphere. Our coaches deliver simple and rapid improvement using the most advanced technology to beginners and pros alike.

At Pitch we utilise the best technology in the business to give our students the very best chance of improving. Enjoying golf and playing well is achievable for everyone. We focus on; straight driving, consistent irons, short game skills and crucially putting – not overly complicated swings that make you worse before you play better.

Our state of the art putting studio and custom fitting suite (which also caters for walk ins) offer tremendous value and expertise compared to high street superstores.

Everyone has played with someone who seems to hole more birdie putts, never misses those irritating 3 footers and 3 putts once in a blue moon, but what makes them so good? Our master putting coach Paul competed in the World Cup of golf based on the strength of his putting and has spent the next 14 years dedicating himself to helping you become a brilliant putter too.

Although our cutting edge technology is capable of measuring 28 different parameters to ensure you learn the perfect simple stroke with the absolute best fitting putter, we like to keep things simple. In the adjacent boxes you can view the key data points which we measure and can drastically improve sometimes in a matter of minutes.

The very best thing about changing your putting stroke versus full swing changes is how quickly you can implement them, often within the first lesson and we would like to give every golfer in London the chance to make that huge gain.

Founded in 1895, the dramatic heathland setting of Crowborough Beacon Golf Club has an unrivalled position on one of the highest points in Sussex, enjoying far-reaching views to the sea 22 miles away. The golf course has been influenced by two legendary golf course Architects, Harry S.Colt and Dr. Alister Mackenzie.

Venue for the 2015 Seniors’ Home International Championship

Venue for the 2012 EGU County Team Championship

The first thing that will strike the golfer who comes fresh to Crowborough is the wonderful view. I do not suppose there is a wider or more beautiful one in all England. With the pink of the heather and the yellow of the gorse, and the green of the fairways winding up and downhill between them, it is one of the loveliest places to be seen anywhere.

The holes are extraordinarily characteristic and easy to remember, all of them possess some dramatic and memorable feature.

The Club PGA Head Professional is Chris Evans, a former Welsh PGA Champion. Members and visitors to Tandridge will find a warm welcome waiting for them in the Professional's Shop where all requirements to help the golfer are available.  Now pleased to announce that Tandridge is stocking SeeMore Putters.

A refreshed Harry Colt classic in the Surrey countryside

Celebrated golf architect Harry Colt created the delightful course at Tandridge in 1924. There are spectacular views of the Surrey North Downs and the High Weald, with the front nine running along relatively gentle land and the back nine sited in more rolling and dramatic terrain. Strategically placed bunkers call for accuracy from the tee, plateau greens make for demanding approach shots and subtle borrows on the fine surfaces test your putting.

The course has been fully restored and updated by Frank Pont, a specialist in Colt's design principles. Golf Course Architecture journal described it as "perhaps the most dramatic restoration of a Golden Age golf course yet attempted in the UK". Since then, England Golf has staged the English Women's Open Amateur Strokeplay on the course and the feedback from visitors is consistently excellent. With the condition of the course matching the quality of the redesign, we are delighted to be ranked in Golf Monthly's Top 100 Courses for the UK & Ireland for 2017 and 2018.

We very much hope that you will enjoy Tandridge too.

Hinckley Golf Club

Welcome on board to the SeeMore Family of outlets, with a range of SeeMore Putters available for trying and fitting.

The Pro Shop is a fully stocked and competitive outlet which offers professional advice on all your golfing requirements. We specialise in custom fitting golf clubs to ensure golfers are using the right equipment to maximize their games, we also offer a extensive club repair service from grip fitting to new shaft installation.

In 1894, permission was given by the Lord of the Manor for the establishment of a nine-hole golf links on Burbage Common. Complaints from the public were nullified by a small, one-off, contribution towards maintenance of the common and so with clearing and relaying of fairways and greens Burbage Common Golf Club was formed. A lease was taken out on the old brick yard site and disused quarry (the bowl of the current 11th and 12th holes), and the membership of just 20 male golfers set about building the original Clubhouse (on the site of the flats behind the current 12th tee.)

The old Clubhouse was burnt down in 1952 when most of the old Club records were lost. Only local newspaper reports help us to reconstruct the past and in them it was noted that the course record stood at 33. For a period of time Burbage Common became a nine hole course with three extra holes, one of which required you to hit over the railway! These holes were lost to allotments during the war and reverted to common afterwards. The Club, in 1952, had purchased the freehold on the brick yard land and the new Clubhouse was built on the site of the old one but this time with electricity, rather than a coke stove. Over the next 20 years various extensions were added, including a flat for the professional.

A serious injury to a member of the public spurred greater activity towards building an 18-hole course. Cooperation between the Council, the Education Authority and the Railway Company, together with a determined group of members, led by Frank Downes, eventually brought about the golf course that we now know. The course, including three holes from the old course, was opened in 1983 and the club house, on a new site, opened in 1985. 4,000 trees were planted on the old farmland and as these have matured and other minor alterations and improvements have been implemented, the course has become more picturesque, more and more challenging and one of the courses that is a “must play” in the Midlands.

SeeMore FACTS

SEEMORE PUTTER COMPANY FACTS

SeeMore was used by the winner of the 2016 Travelers Championship Russell Knox (using the new SeeMore Stealth mini Giant FGP putter), who also finished 7th in the FedEx Cup standings and top 20 in the world. Two other players, Zach Johnson, and Ernie Els (using the Nashville Studio Series mFGP DF putter), finished the 2016 season ranked in the top 25 on tour in strokes gained putting, the most comprehensive statistic for measuring total putting performance vs. the field. In fact Els finished with a .77 strokes gained putting per round in the 34 measured rounds he used a SeeMore after his mid season switch, the second best average on the entire tour.

SeeMore was the winning putter of the 2015 OPEN Championship at St. Andrews (Zach Johnson), in one of the greatest clutch putting performances in OPEN History. SeeMore putters have won 3 MAJOR Championships, including the 2007 Masters (Zach Johnson) and the 1999 US Open (Payne Stewart).

The SeeMore Putter Company is one of the premier independent putter brands in the world. SeeMore putters receive rave reviews from consumers, the media, and the best players in the world for their technology, innovation, craftsmanship, and overall performance. Players use SeeMore putters on all of the world’s key professional tours, as well as at college, amateur, and club level tournaments for a few key reasons. First they believe that SeeMore gives them their best chance to play great and win. Second they love the fact that SeeMore builds custom made putters for any player interested, providing the golfer the exact look, feel, and balance that they desire, in any specification they need.

Seemore has been a revered putter brand for over 15 years.  SeeMore originally became recognized when Payne Stewart won the 1999 U.S. Open playing a SeeMore putter in the greatest final round putting performance in US Open History. The brand was re-launched in 2007, and immediately regained worldwide prominence as Zach Johnson used a SeeMore FGP to win the 2007 Masters. Zach Johnson’s historic win at the 2015 Open Championship now becomes the 3d leg of the “SeeMore Slam.” SeeMore now has over 800 worldwide certified instructors, fitters, and sales people who are brand ambassadors and well informed on how the many benefits of the SeeMore putter and SeeMore putting system can help golfers everywhere.

Tribute to Lydia Ko

Using a Rosemark grip, Lydia Ko has an earning earning over $5 million in 31 events including the CME Globe bonus in 2015, and she won 8 events and 2 Majors!  Her earnings, her putting (#1 on tour with Rosemark) her wins (8 worldwide) and her 2 Majors, were all much better with Rosemark than without and it's not even close!

Over $5 million in earnings in 31 events w/Rosemark

CME Globe in 2015 (LPGA player of the year)

    Won 8 events

2 MAJORS! (ANA Inspiration and Evian Championship)

Rosemark putter grip technology offers, “tension free putting" for all golfers due to the unique patented shape, which perfectly “maps” the golfer’s hand.  Rosemark putter grips are now available worldwide through Premium Golf Brands, which also owns and distributes SeeMore putters.

Rosemark grips were created when Mark Cokewell, the CEO and Founder of Rosemark, wanted to create a putter grip that fit better in a golfers hand, with a more consistently squared set up, more control, and less tension.  He mapped the hand using experts in biomechanics.  He then also studied other sports and activities where a square, consistent grip is required, and started creating prototypes, with regular input from the worlds best teachers and players.

What Rosemark’s development team came up with was a truly revolutionary, yet pleasingly simple and intuitive, design. The Rosemark brand has won 3 Major Championships in less than a year.

Tour Mini Giant Pleasing customer

Putter arrived and is a absolute beauty.  (SeeMore Tour Mini Giant 34 inches with Tartan White Head Cover and Rosemark 1.52 Blue Grip)

First report from putting matt at home is its almost cheating, very nice soft feel and the grip is great.

Re size it doesn't appear massive but then again I deliberately haven't compared it to my other putters

Will play Monday and see how it goes, then decide if I need to paint the rifle scopes as not very clear inside the house.

Again thanks for great service and product

SeeMore Putter Institute (SPi)

SPi is a learning system based on the simple fundamentals of finding the proper grip, alignment, stance, and posture.  This allows for a natural, free, and simple putting stroke on each and every putt.  It is based on the technology built into the SeeMore putter itself, and on the refined teachings of SeeMore Global Ambassador Pat O’Brien.  O’Brien has worked with Zach Johnson, and many other PGA Tour and developing players.  O’Brien has been teaching the SeeMore System around the world for more than 17 years, ever since he watched his good friend, the late Payne Stewart benefit from the SeeMore putting system to win 1999 US Open and lead the tour in putting statistics that year.

RST Technology SeeMore’s patented RST, known by a visible gun sight on the top line, allows the golfer to set up the putter perfectly each and every time in relation to the intended target line.

SeeMore Facts SeeMore originally became recognized when Payne Stewart won the 1999 U.S. Open playing a SeeMore putter in the greatest final round putting performance in US Open History.  The brand was re-launched in 2007, and immediately regained worldwide prominence as Zach Johnson used a SeeMore FGP to win the 2007 Masters. Zach Johnson’s historic win at the 2015 Open Championship now becomes the 3d leg of the “SeeMore Slam.”  SeeMore’s website at www.seemore.com has many new features about SeeMore’s remarkable legacy, technology, and tour success. Switzerland Customer

I don’t get much opportunity to play much golf these days. so I can only now inform you about my new putter.  Thanks to the Riflescope system, my putting has become very solid especially over shorter putts and has just about eliminated three-putting; is it more confidence or the system? Who knows but it doesn’t really matter, the putts go in!

Many of my playing partners are also intrigued, so maybe when I have some time I’ll do the certification programme.

In any case, many thanks for your patience and professionalism.

Kind regards from Switzerland,

Justin Happy

Just wanted to say that I actually got out onto the course this week to use my SeeMore putter; well, it passed it’s first test with flying colours  and hope to have a long history with the putter!
Many thanks,
Justin

Equipment Story of the Year!

En route to this weekend’s fifth-place finish at the Quicken Loans National, Ernie Els gained 1.99 strokes on the field thanks to his work on Congressional’s greens.

Of course, it wasn’t long ago that Els agonizingly took six putts from within three feet on the first green at Augusta National, and several videos of other painful misses from close range made their rounds on the internet.

In what is perhaps the equipment story of the year so far, since switching to a SeeMore mFGP Deep Flange Nashville Studio Series (with SuperStroke Flatso 1.0 grip, left-hand low) during the third round of the RBC Heritage, Ernie Els has effectively led the Tour in Strokes Gained: Putting.

World No 1 Lydia Ko

Rosemark offers “tension free putting" for all golfers due to the unique patented shape which perfectly “maps” the golfer’s hand.  Rosemark putter grips are now available to book for June delivery through Premium Golf Brands, which also owns and distributes SeeMore putters.

Richard Rodgers - Happy with new SeeMore FGP

Received my first ever Seemore putter today. Went for the original FGP and all I can say is WOW. This baby is so easy to align. I know there are folks out there who collect Seemore stuff, but if this FGP performs as well on the greens as it does on my lounge carpet I can't really see me buying another putter. Thank you for all the advice the other day Melvyn.

New SeeMore in the bag

Tweet from @JWSWindowsLtd on his new SeeMore putter used for the first time and that it was custom fit by Melvyn at Four Counties Golf.

A very satisfied Customer

I wanted to write to say I love my new SeeMore Giant FGP putter which I acquired recently.  I first saw the club in a pro shop last December in the KLGC (ie the Kuala Lumpur  Golf Club), I had a couple of practise swings in the pro shop and liked the feel.

I came back to London (where I live), read up about SeeMore putters, their unique alignment system and toyed with the idea of switching from my Scotty Cameron putter.

After doing my own research, I spoke several times in great detail to Melvyn Fern (your agent / distributor here in the UK), who was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about your products and the art of putting, he convinced me to drop my Scotty Cameron and  buy the SeeMore Giant FGP putter.

Melvyn  then asked for :-  my measurements, my putting style ie stance & grip etc, what kind of grip I would like on the club and proceeded to assemble the Giant FGP putter to meet my specific requirements.

The putter was delivered to my house within two days and enclosed with the putter, was Pat O'Brien's teaching video (which is great). Not only that,  Melvyn kindly gave me a follow up call after I received the putter, asking if I was happy with my new putter - which I was and still am !

Melvyn Fern is a fabulous ambassador for your company / product (he really is). The world of golf could certainly do with a few more people like Melvyn Fern - he is a real asset to your company and product.

With the fantastic alignment mechanism, I am so much more confident in my putting strokes now and I have already cut the number of putts quite significantly off my game.  The regular people that I  play golf with at my golf club  & society have been asking all kinds of questions about my SeeMore putter - of course I am spreading the good word for you !

Best wishes,  Kam Chat
